Thermoplastics Company Seeks Regional Manager for Midwest Territory

Our client is a global compounder of thermoplastic and thermoset polymers, and they are seeking an experiences Sales Manager within their industry to grow a greenfield territory (Midwest) by developing relationships with polymer processors and Original Equipment Manufacturers. This is a highly visible role within the company, and will allow for progressive opportunities in the future. They will be headquartered in Detroit Michigan, with approximately 50% expected travel.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying and developing new and existing business opportunities within polymer processor/OEM clientele. They will convince clients to switch from a competitor’s polymer line to the company’s product line by selling value in addition to price. The must manage, coach, and lead distributor partners in tackling new and existing business opportunities to develop account relationships that generate 15M+ pounds in annual sales. Additionally, they need to understand and stategically address changes in market demand for themoplastic resins.
Candidates must posses:

  • 7+ Years Experience with Polymer Compounders Selling Thermoplastic Resins to Both OEMs and Distributors
  • 5+ Years of Experience selling to Polymer processors (Injection/Extrusion Molders) and OEMs
  • 3+ years of Sales Experience Strategically Managing and Developing a Large, Regional Territory
  • Verifiable Work and Education Experience
  • College Degree HIGHLY PREFERRED
