In a workplace driven by competition, the fear of losing ones job due to layoffs or restructuring (especially post 2008) has seemingly caused the once strikingly clear line diving work life and personal to become evermore translucent.  Although many feel this invasion of work life into their personal life is necessary to stay ahead of their competition, or even simply to stay afloat, it is important to consider the risks and consequences of a poor work-life balance.
